        Sebenarnya aku pun dah baca awal tadi lagi. Katanya cuma new state of tune jer.
        Tapi cuba ko tengok brochure tu, ada dia cakap PLUS tak? Sebab tu yang aku dok tertanya lagi.

    Sbb external engine cam x nmpk ape2 upgraded part kan…
    Pasni kene tgk betul2 kot ape hardware yg dia ubah..
    Maybe just ecu 32 bit mcm persona E kot?


  • Proton technology is getting better now. But yang tak betternya unit pengiklanan mereka. Brosure nampak hambar, kurang tarikan. Then tak tumpu sepenuhnya pada teknologi yang mereka masukkan dalam saga FLX ni. Camne pengguna nak tertarik. Bab promote ni mmg menang kat perodua. Walau kereta perodua klon, tapi pengiklanan mereka memang superb. Sebab tu jualan produk mereka success. Proton, u must update your designer promotion team.
    Anyway, tahniah proton.


    • i stoojoo too. now that the selling point is cvt. so use cvt wisely in explaining the feature where it leads to lower fuel consumption, because that whats matter when purchasing a car.
      its hard to explain technology but with creativity which brings down the complexity of the whole story into a simple language and with clear and crude simplified animation , it would reach a vast target. from pakciks ,youth. as well as scholars or professionals.

      dare to change, already changed.

      Jika bab promosi, Proton mesti ketinggalan. Brochure tampak kurang menarik. Lebih2 lagi page yang memaparkan CVT tu..Banyak ruang kosong yang sepatutnya diisi dengan pelbagai lagi maklumat CVT dan fuel saving.

      Apapun, saya mesti katakan dengan harga sub RM50k, dengan CVT, ABS dan EBD, membuatkan model entry level ini sangat2 menakjubkan. Tak keterlaluan jika saya katakan Saga FLX ialah model yg under-priced..(Jgn lepas ni naik harga sudah.hoho)

  • Broshure buat apa bro. Pagi tadi pegi Giant Kelana Jaya. Ada showroom Proton situ. Tengok-tengok diorang dah display Saga FLX ni. Siap bonet buka luas. Harga naik RM1000 dari model biasa.

    Pergi tengok puas-puas. Info di Paultan tu rasanya aku yang bagi di dalam post mereka pasal enjin Proton tu. Lupa pula nak info di sini juga. Sorry.


  • saga lama simply better tag dia. Kalu aku la,utk flx, aku bg simply the best, baru kasi lawan sama lagi best :-). Rega memang masyuk, jom kita tengok org malaysia ni masih ahbeng lg atau japan wan abi lagi ke x.


  • this flx need to be tested how slow the engine revolution at constant legal speed 100 or 110.
    if the engine speed drop significantly then this car can be agood long distant commuter with fiendly on fuel.

  • Mantap betul la FLX ..ni kalu memebr aku tengok..tangkap leleh ni pasal dia dah angkat 1.3 first edition..aisehmen…mau gigit jari ha..ha.. Thumbs up Proton…now its time for R3 to do something ‘garang’ to this car.

  • Malam tadi sempat mengusha Saga FLX Elegant Brown nih kat showroom Proton Giant Batu Caves.Menurut kata sales person tuh function SAT adalah sama dengan OD yang ada pada kereta transmisi auto yang lain…


  • ni yg lemau ngan salesman yg xtau aper2 walupun dh panggil training. Sat tuh bkn od, nk rasa cam od,tolak je tombol tuh dari D ke L. Sat tuh utk dia change simulation 6 fixed gear ratio.


  • dah usha saga flx td,mmg kat iafm n engine bay ada tulis +1.3 utk iafm plus. Tp xda cover. Xtaula nk jimat cost@ aper coz nk ckp mahal sgt cover tu,xdala mahal sgt pun. Xtaula coz cover tu bleh mnyebabkan lebih heat pd engine. The king bleh cnfirmkan x?


  • Sebenarnya ABS EBD lebih penting daripada Airbag. Tapi mentaliti rakyat Malaysia ni la nak sangat Airbag. Lepas tu ramai pula yang confuse ABS tu Airbag. Airbag ni plak ikutkan mesti servis setiap 2 tahun. Mungkin banyak dah kereta atas jalan ada airbag tapi dah 5 tahun tak function pun airbagnya tu. Website Proton Edar dah update SAGA Flx. Saga FL dah discontinued la nampaknya. Tunggu Exora CVT, dan Exora Turbo pula tahun ni. Tahun depan Persona R. Dalam Bernama dah cerita.


    • kalau ikut brek lagi penting ada ABS EBD, sebab kalau berlaku sesuatu kita tekan brek dulu kan? bukan kita mintak airbag keluar dulu tapi brek tak tekan2 jugak..lagi 1 kalau tak pakai seatbelt pun sama gak tak payah letak airbag..jadi fikir2lah yg terbaik..yang paling penting berhati2 di jalan raya


  • Ikut SA,test drive car ready lambat lg. Even COE py SA pun xtau nk cite ape ttg kete ni,diorg trkejut tiba2 kereta dtg,training pn xpggl. So menggugup la menjwb soalan kita.

    Apa yg sy lg notice,interior color lebih dark grey brbnding saga FL, yg cerah skit. Shift lock pd shifter nice feat.


    • ye, quite a wait.
      but i found its not something shocking to public, proton has to do something. right kind of promotion,
      new color yes, how about some odd yellow rallye. (inspired from super s2000)
      and also for the lower entry model who without alloy wheels, the simplest is to design a new 13 pnches plastic wheel cover for FLX entry model.


  • Apa beza Lotus Ride & Handling dengan Proton Ride & Handling, ke cuma Proton dah yakin nak guna nama sendiri. Ada sapa2 boleh jawab perbezaan dua jenis handling ni.


    • proton has learnt something from lotusso they are qualified to do so. anyway what it means is a balance between ride (comfort) and handling (control) will depend on specific design and purpose of the model.
      sportier model will bias towards handling, biasa model will bias towards comfort.

      if any one is serious about handling they have to go after-markets.


    • Sbb Proton dah yakin guna nama sendirilah. Kalo tidak tentu Proton masih guna badge atau tag Lotus Ride & Handling lagi. Proton Committed to bee betta hehe.


    • dulu Lotus Ride & Handling lebih kepada pemanduan kereta sport, suspensi agak keras & ramai kurang berminat walaupun di selekoh memang mantap pengendaliannya.. bermula dari Persona dah mula ada kelainan sebab Proton dah masukkan element comfort supaya kereta itu lebih balance.. Proton Ride & Handling pula adalah gabungan pemanduan kereta sport & comfort.. lagi 1 dah sampai masanya Proton keluar dari bayangan Lotus Ride & Handling sebab yang tune suspensi kereta diorang engineer Proton sendiri, cuma dibawa ke Lotus untuk fine tune oleh otai yang memang dah lama expert bab ni.. tu je 🙂


      • yes handling by lotus something has to street comfort with good handling. satria gti proves that. and the traits carried on to other newer models but due to practility and economical reason like ride height and tire size and spec has to rationalized therefore it reduce the sporty handling character a bit. like the persona or saga.

        but dont wory about that because proton have R3 tuner division to suit the sporting crave.not only suspension but also the horsepower. but remember it will take some the comfort factor off the car but you can tackle the road condition with smile.


      • yes handling by lotus is something to do with street comfort with good handling. a special breed, the satria gti proves that earlier in y1999 , 2000 to 2004. and the traits carried over to other newer models ,but due to practility and economical reason rationalization process like ride height and tire size and spec is specced down, as a result it sacrifice the handling a bit.

        but not to worry about that because proton have R3 tuner division to suit the sporting crave.not only suspension but also the horsepower. but remember it will take some the comfort factor off the car but you can attack a sharp bent with smile on your face.

        so to some one with budget concern they can suit HWL system to their car.


  • Pada pendapat saya pengeluaran Saga FLX ini seperti sebuah pakej yang lengkap dari segi Saiz, Keselesaan, Performance, Ciri-ciri keselamatan dan Harga. Walaubagaimanapun apa yang merisaukan saya adalah keupayaan penyelengaraan serta ketahanan dalam sistem CVT yang dikeluarkan oleh Punch Motive ini. Jika kita lihat sebagai contoh Proton Savvy AMT, sekiranya ia rosak ia perlu digantikan satu set komponen AMT yang berharga sekurang-kurangnya RM 8++++k dan mungkin lebih, disebabkan tiada kefahaman dan kepakaran dari Proton walaupun komponen berkenaan dari Renault seharusnya Proton perlu bertanggungjawab tetapi sebaliknya.

    Apa yang ingin saya sampaikan disini, adakah keupayaan sistem CVT itu tidak akan memeningkan pengguna seperti apa yang telah terjadi ke pemilik-pemilik Proton Savvy AMT. Proton seharusnya memberi penekanan terhadap keupayaan penyelengaraan terhadap sistem CVT ini.


  • skrg,br kita nampak,proton jugak agak humble dlm bg fc@90kmh walupun prtn punya internal data menunjukkan 5.78L per 100km @90kmh constant for cvt,dlm brochure tulis 6.0L. So,kalu tgk pd city n urban(mixed mode), fc adalah dalam 7.68L per 100km. Ini sudah bgs,maksudnya dgn rm 50 minyak 95 rega sekarang, cvt dah bleh bg 350kmh mixed mode.so atas highway,rm 50 bleh dpt lebih 400km@484km klu ikut data bwk kelajuan 90kmh. So kalu bwk 100kmh average,xsusah dpt 400km. Itu sudah bleh beat savvy aku tuh.


  • tertarik dgn penerangan hazry,secara amnya,cvt punch nih lebih baik dr cvt lancer punya yg dr jatco. Xda rubberband effect,xda bunyi vacuum cleaner,mlh mgkin lebih baik dr jatco xtronic pd sylphy, ni yg xsabo eden nk test drive nih. Caiyok proton


  • Bukan setakat CVT rupanya, ABS EBD pun ada juga. Tak ketinggalan ada adjustment setting Campro IAFM tu (nama pun IAFM + variety). Yang menariknya, suspension pun diubah jadi stiffer. Spring dia lebih keras jadi lebih stabil dan bahagian belakang tak nampak gelebeh kalau berat. Syabas Proton. Sentiasa mendengar dan memperbaiki walaupun Saga FL baru 8 bulan dialncarkan, dah ada pengganti yang lebih baik.


  • i read through the paultans’
    found out that

    1, there has been a change on cam profile (maybe to change a bit for a torque and power band in order to suit cvt)

    2. stiffer suspension, enhance the handing capability but still within comfort in balance.

    3. lower engine speed when cruising, 2500rpm at 100km/h and 3000rpm at 120. (this is the best ,i suspect it could be more frugal than the FC numbers given).

    hey man this flx is really GOOD.

    FL = current IAFM + 5MT Gearbox from Aichi Kikai/MMC, Japan
    FLX = IAFM+ + 5MT Gearbox from Getrag (Ford transmission)
    FLX = IAFM + CVT from Punch motive

  • stiffer spring, beefier anti roll bar, revised absober rate… aa ha.

    this car really change TOTALLY.
    test drive is recomanded.

    and the question is how do proton rework on its cam profile.? that is an interesting fact.


  • maybe they advanced it a little bit to induced pickup at low end n ramp up a little bit for compression ratio to suit the changes. Original cr 10:0, iafm plus 10:1.


  • so many things they done to flx,but so little info from the brochures. Its actually can be a turning point for them,i know that not everyone know about tech, but educate them,show us the power n torque graph compare to the old one.


  • one more thing if we look at the video on normal acceleration ,the third part ,
    in the event of reaching 100km/h. the car picking up at the engine revolution of 3000. and it looks to settle at 2500, but then as the accelerator asking for abit more speed the needle shoot to 3000, but the speed range is still around 100km/h. i supposed 2500rpm will settled nicely for 100km/h during constant speed with no ‘speed hunting’

    so its important for us to test drive the car to feel the power/speed balance.
