Proton menerima satu lagi anugerah sebelum menutup tahun ini, apabila Proton Iriz dinobatkan sebagai “Budget Car of The Year 2016” di anugerah ASEAN Car of the Year 2016 (ACOTY). Iriz diperkenalkan pada September 2014 dimuatkan dengan pelbagai ciri untuk memberikan pelanggan nilai yang lebih baik dan pengiktirafan ini adalah hasil usaha Proton selama ini.
Model ini mendapat penarafan 5-bintang daripada ASEAN NCAP dan ia dilengkapi ciri ciri keselamatan seperti kawalan kestabilan elektronik (ESC) dengan kawalan cengkaman, sistem brek anti-kunci (ABS) dengan kuasa-brek Elektronik (EBD), bantuan brek, bantuan kawalan cerun (HHA) dan sistem peringatan pemakaian tali pinggang (SBR).
Proton Iriz dikuasakan dengan enjin VVT empat silinder dengan lima pilihan kelajuan, sama ada kotak gear manual atau transmisi CVT. Varian 1.3 liter didatangkan dalam pilihan Standard dan Executive, manakala 1.6 liter mempunyai pilihan Executive dan Premium, berharga dari RM41,520 ke RM62,030. Ia direka untuk menyediakan perlindungan optimum kepada penumpang dan merupakan kereta yang seronok untuk dipandu serta menjimatkan bahan api.

drive until the red or orange turn up, then fill up with 50 ringgit reset trip to zero.. drive your car like u use to every day until the light turn up again. read the millage.

50ringgit devided by xxxkm = sen per kilometer
Average 12-13c/km
i would suggest as such:
1-fill gas until nozzle clicked (full tank),
2-drive somehow 100km (or measureable distance),
3-re-fuel until nozzle clicked (full tank),
4-note quantity (Litres) the fuel filled in step 3,
5-make simple calc from data available in step 2 & step 4. (either L/km or km/L will do).
proton has good cars. driving an iriz is such an overwhelming experience, the ride and handling setup are sweet, as sweet as european counterpart.
slightly increase the seats. lumbar support, preposition the steering wheel 5 to 10mm closer.
and if jetco cvt ready..replace the punch cvt for a beautiful response
i will give 100 over 100 for iriz
talking about ergonomic, seating in ertiga driver’s seat , it feels right, the seat countor gives a good lumbar support steering and pedal reach just nice. i womt complain about ertiga;s ergonomic because its correct. nothing to complain when they are right. no issue.
and when there are issue . i cant help complaining
we hope proton will resolve this especially to their home grown models.

Proton Iriz mmg di atas kertas nampak cantik. Tp bila berada di jalan raya, sgt ketara prestasi enjin campro vvt & gearbox cvt punch yg belum memuaskan. Jika refinement enjin & gearbox cvt dibuat seperti pada proton persona 2016, saya percaya Iriz akan mendapat sambutan lebih baik dpd myvi. Tp bila saya ke showroom proton, iriz masih spt asal, mounting engine masih lg ada 4. Belum lg refine. Bakal pembeli iriz nampaknya kena tunggu lg lama utk dptkan iriz yg lebih baik.

if we compare, the saga vvt seat’s back support is rather flat whereas in the suzuki ertiga the back support is concave for lumbar support. saga vvt driver might suffer in a long journey driving and might have back pain,,,,
but with the proper lumbar support from the concave contouring seat in ertiga .our vertebra is in check and soothing for a long journey.
