  • Nak buat camner… mungkin Proton tak cukup bajet nak buat 19 atau 20 inch rim la tu. Spec enjin tu sepatutnya kena lebih power dari yg asal kalau dah letak emblem LE. Bodykit cantik tapi enjin output yg sama lebih baik tuning enjin dan pasang bodykit sendiri, lagi berbaloi.

  • kawan2…safety first…rupa tu boleh touch up sendiri….Proton offer kita kereta yg ada safety…harga pun x mahal sgt…bagus la tu…keep it up!

  • sv or standard , is the best way to practically to reach the public wanting .
evidently we can see them on the road almost everywhere.

suprima has a letdown by its price and rear appearance. easily DRB can read this, so actions are needed promptly.

neo has the look but the desire and passion is simply muted by the 1.6cps offering

so proton should be responsive to the public.
    they want something
    LESS FOR MORE
    CHEAP AND POWERFUL
    AFFORDABLE SPORTS CAR

this is the voice from the mass, low and middle class society ,the largest population counts in malaysia.

    • Neo kalau diletak enjin cfe pun jualan dia xde la kabooom pun..

Cth dulu org kate exora underpower,tp bile dh dpt cfe bukan nye beza sgt jualan..

  • Setuju dengan Awak..masa test drive Suprima..wow..lagi bagus dari Preve..kalo bujang teringin jgk nk beli…tp apa nk buat dulu kalau Wira A/B lagi murah dari Sedan. Bila Preve dijadikan A/B ..aii dah tambah mahal. Mana produk utk budak graduate yg baru start keje. Kalau budak yg bapak bayarkan downpayment..memang ok lah.
Pendapat peribadi aku lah ye..tak salah Proton nak berbangga dgn ‘I Can Do It’….Suprima mahal. Tapi kalu keluar Suprima basic..agak boleh meletup tak sales. Harapan je lah…rasanya BOD DRB lebih pentingkan imej elit Suprima ..nak buat cemana…bukan diorang bawak kereta pun.

    • Dah nama pun budak graduate pakai la Saga SV, Ini kereta nak class class, pastu mintak keje gaji demand, skillnye tak ada, ini la masalah budak muda zaman sekarang.

    • Harga Preve dengan suprimaS sama pada asal.

Preve tak ada – Curtain, HA, Leather Seat
      Suprima S – Semua ada

Baru kerja/Belajar, semua boleh pakai kereta mahal, tapi muka kena la tinggi. nak senang mcm nh, aku mmg plan nak beli PUG 407 avante @ Ssangyong Kyron @ Pug 407. kene reality berapa k yang kita mampu. Mcm aku,aku mmg dah mark 40-50k jer mampu. So ko kumpul la duit muka tinggi seperti 10-20k. Baru la boleh pakai. sabar tu penting, jangan ikut nafsu, nanti badan yang binasa.

  • Tambah bodykit sket, upkan sportrim 1inci sket, tambah 2 biji airbag sket, beza harga smpai 7riban, MAHAL btol..enjin sama, xde penambahbaikan dr segi performance, PUII!!!!…kalo buildin racechip ok la jgk..

    • x payah nak PUI!! sgt la…. cube kira harga Rim 17″, Bodykit dgn Airbag… agak2 sampai x tujuh ribu…aku rasa lebih kurang sampai tujuh ribu….yg lain tu untung la…ko meniaga nak rugi ke?

      PUI!!! utk comment ko ayooyoo….

  • Bukan x setuju cara proton produce car, tp x kena dgn tag Limited Edition tu, dgn spec yg ditawarkan mcm x masuk akal, sepatutnya gunakan tag ‘Facelift’ atau ‘Special Edition’ baru sesuai dgn spec yg ditawarkn tu, ‘Limited Edition’ adalah sesuatu yg unik, lain dr yg lain, senang cite tahapnya adalah lebih tinggi dr SE dan FL, dan yg penting ia dlm unit terhad, bila terhad barmakna ia perlulah teristimewa berbnding spec biasa2 yg lain tu, bila org ‘dengar proton ada keluarkan limited edition car ‘.. wau..!! Org akan excited ke arah spec yg ditawarkan dan terbayang sesuatu kelainan atau sesuatu yg ‘boom’ yg ditawarkn proton, tetapi sy percaya ramai yg akan kecewa krn tertipu dgn tag ‘ Limited Edition ‘ yg seakan-akan sama spt SE dan FL..krn apa,krn tiada kelainan pdnya, ‘ mcm org kata apa yg ada kt dia xde kat org lain ‘ yakni sepatutnya ada sesuatu kelainan pd spec yg ditawarkn..sepatutnya at least buatla kelainan kt enjin tu, cfe + manual tranmission ke, high pressure turbine ke, racechip ke, barulah kena dgn tag LE tu..kalo x bole hasilkn kereta limited edition tu jgn tipu org guna tag limited edition, gunakn sahaja tag sedia ada, SE ke FL ke..org xnak kena tipu 2kali, da kena skali da cukup…harga yg ditawarkn pun mcm mahal, 79k tambah sket dah boleh beli inspira 2.0 full spec, silap2 boleh dpt rebet lg , tp tahula inspira roadtax pulak mahal sbb 2.0 dgn insuran lg.. kita kena ambil kira market kereta malaysia bukan terarah kpd spec dan sbgnya, tp lebih ke arah harga, kualiti dan realibiliti serta nilai jual balik sesebuah kereta tu utk bertahan minima 5thn tnpa sebarang kerosakan major or minor sgt..sbb tu org sanggup beli vios, walaupun harga mahal bentuk mcm bangang, enjin x power, tp minyak dia save, keta x byk hal hampir minor prob je, resale value pon tggi walaupun umur keta da lebih 5thn, org nk trade agkat keta bru pon sng sbb xbyk nk tmbah deposit..ini yg org mahukan..krn rata2 org m’sia adalah bpendpatan sedrhana, kalo boleh org x nak buang masa ke SC semata-mata nk repair n repair minor prob or lebih teruk major prob pon ader..padahal keta bru je keluar sminggu..dah la nak mengadap financial car loan smpai 5-9 years, lpstu dgn keta buat hal lg, family lg ank2, loan rumah yg smpai 30years lg, hutang kredit lg, semua ini ada effect knp org sggup beli kereta buatan luar..igt proton is just a ‘ local ‘ brand, jadi ia perlulah ‘ local ‘kan price dia yg agak mahal tu supaya kena dgn pendapatan org2 kat m’sia ni..sy rasa proton perlu lg belajar ‘cara’ marketing diaorang dkt public krn ini berkait dgn kepercayaan org ramai terhadap product yg mereka hasilkn..krn tnpa pembeli siapalah proton..just my 2 cent..

    • haa..komen macam ni la incik ayooyoo! I LIKE!!

  • Australia : 3 units Proton sold in September 2013

    Proton: What’s gone wrong?

    By James Batchelor • October 24, 2013 • News • Leave a comment

057512700_1233311497DELVE deeper into September’s sales figures and look past the double-digit rises for the likes of Mitsubishi and Subaru and you’ll find quite a shock.

Judging by the SMMT’s sales chart, Proton is in trouble – and in a big way.

Throughout the crucial month of September the Malaysian firm registered less than a handful of cars. Three shiny Protons rolled out of dealers’ showrooms last month to customers – three!

To put that into perspective, that’s the same number Saab has managed to shift all year – and that company went bankrupt nearly two years ago. And when you take a look at the company’s year-to-date performance it doesn’t make for much happier reading either as Proton has managed the round total of 18 units. That’s down 90.86 per cent on the same period last year when Proton registered 197 cars.

So how has it gone so horribly wrong? We approached Proton UK to get some answers but they cancelled the interview just two hours before the agreed time. The reason? ‘Launch planning meetings are overrunning’.

They issued us with a statement that was predictably vague: ‘We can confirm that Proton will be launching three exciting new Proton models in the coming months and we believe with these new models we will improve our position as well as our sales performance.

‘Once our launch plans are finalised, we will be communicating these to our dealer network.’
‘We closed last year due to the shortage of stock and felt it was the right decision to make.’

But perhaps Proton’s management needs to communicate this message to its dealer network more quickly. We chose five dealers at random and wanted to ask them how bad the current situation was. Three refused to have their comments published but none was positive about Proton’s future. Two however did and laid it on thick. One said: ‘We have actually given our notice to Proton that we will be dropping the franchise. They have been dangling the idea of introducing new cars for some time and there are new products in the pipeline, but we felt we didn’t want to wait. It actually pushed us to taking on Kia, which has been a really great move for us.’

Another said: ‘We are no longer a Proton dealer. We closed last year due to the shortage of stock and felt it was the right decision to make.’

Proton’s current state is a far cry from how it began 30 years ago. The car company, now owned by DRB-HICOM, started out in its home country of Malaysia in 1983 and produced the country’s first domestic car. By the late-1980s, imports began to arrive in the UK initially through Lada dealers, and once the 1990s dawned Proton became the fastest-selling new car brand ever with more than 22,000 cars sold in just two years.

With the early-’90s recession doing its best to help the UK new car market slump to a 20 per cent low, Proton was riding a crest with sales up 30 per cent. Its simple model range of the MPI saloon and Aeroback (hatchback) used old Mitsubishi products and was priced up as cheaply as possible. The firm took advantage of a growing gap at the bottom end of the market – a gap that was ever-widening thanks to Japanese cars becoming more expensive – and UK buyers were hooked.

More products arrived throughout the 1990s and the firm even took advantage of holding the keys to Lotus, giving a sporty makeover to its insipid Mitsubishi Colt-based Satria hatchback. With a tweaked chassis and beefed-up bodywork, the Satria GTi received rave reviews from the media and created a loyal fan base.

Nowadays, the firm doesn’t produce anything as so proudly flamboyant as the GTi. Instead, its range consists of three lines: the cheap but unremarkable Savvy city car; the even more unremarkable Satria Neo supermini; and the desperately old Gen-2 hatchback, saloon and an LPG variant. There has been the promise of new product in the shape of a saloon and an MPV called the Exora, but it would seem that some dealers couldn’t wait any longer.

However, there is some good news in this story. One retailer has faith and is looking forward to the future – Richard Smith, MD of one of the longest-serving Proton dealers in the UK, Golden Hill Garage in Leyland, Lancashire.

‘Proton is set to introduce more than three brand new models this year and beginning of next,’ Smith told us. ‘I’ve already been to a confidential meeting at the HQ in Bristol and driven the new cars – the introduction of new models will really freshen the brand.

‘Proton isn’t about the badge or rising prices – all the cars are full-spec from standard.’

On the question of the dismal sales figures, Smith replied: ‘We haven’t been selling cars because we’ve had a shortage of products – basically we sold our last lot of stock too quickly, so had to stop marketing. If anything, Proton and ourselves have been too successful – perhaps a bit too big for our boots in a way – and we have a very positive outlook.

‘Next year, we look to sell more than 100 cars – that’s just a rough idea as we don’t know what the volume figures will be. We expect Proton cars to be selling like hotcakes early in 2014.’

It would seem to us these new products and a bucket-load of cash for marketing exploits cannot come soon enough. Proton’s current situation is an interesting one – one that we will be watching closely over the next few months.

  • Proton mmg start slow bile proton tak bawak satria nea cps, R3 ker UK. DAH LAMA DAN KAMI BINCANGKAN, BAWAK BRAND R3 KE UK. UK suke ad on.

  • Bab2 marketing ni, proton memang lemah. mereka masih lagi mengharapkan pasaran tempatan.

Kalau kita lihat trend, patutnya hanya model yg tip top sahaja patut ditawarkn utk pasaran luar seperti aussie. Tapi nk tunggu model tip top terpaksa tunggu 2, 3 varian, baru dpt model yg benar2 sesuai seperti varian awal exora hingga la varian yg lebih bagus exora bold.

Apa2 pun konsep SV prootn kiranya adalah saingan bijak bagi S series perodua. even dgr2 lonjakan jualan prootn suku ketiga 27% berbanding tahun lepas n model SV nie merekodkan pertumbuhan sebanyak 72% utk keseluruhan model saga bagi suku tahun ketiga. Cuma lagi proton kena keluarkan model compact saingan myvi. Yg terdekat sudah tentunya GSC:)

      Cheers!

      • Nampaknya ini membuktikan kebanyakan rakyat msia hanya mampu membeli kereta proton pada harga SV. dan kemungkinan mereka masih mengharapkan agar proton dapat menjual dgn harga yg tidak terlalu mahal.
