Itu belum masuk membantu lotus dalam plan 5 tahun lotus.. tu yg saya rasa proton cuba cari profit dulu, baru bina model lain..

i hear before, proton help youngman design suv and tune the platform …. youngman need to pay proton money then proton only buy copyright produce in Malaysia(rebadged)
after see the spy shoot, the suv can confirm design by youngman but use platform tune by proton/lotus …..
mmm… sy jangka by 2015 ada la SUV nie. la nie, proton/lotus tengah develop SUV utk youngman. Youngman bayar kat proton. Skrng pun tengah buat banyak test drive. dijangka release mgkin q4 2012 kot. 2013 mgkin proton deal beli balik platform SUV tu utk jimatkan kos pada awal 2014. Proses pembangunan tak lebih dari 24 bulan, so dlm 2015 dah ada ar SUV nie:) … hehe… sedap2 jer buat jangkaan.

Proton kalo mengikut kata DSZ takkan develope SUV sendiri sbb tak berbaloi untuk pasaran. Tapi pihak proton dah excited dengan hasil developement SUV yg depa dok bangunkan di China dan berkemungkinan besar akan beli platform tu saja untuk penjimatan, apa2 hal pun SUV tu tetap dibangunkan Proton juga cuma dgn kos Youngman china dan jadi hak Youngman.

As for the SUV, Syed Zainal said this is where Proton will have to be creative to survive.
“There is no point for us to spend money on developing one as the market will not be too big to support it. Fortunately, Youngman of China has appointed us to develop a small SUV for them based on our current platform and engine,” he said.
“We saw the outcome and we ourselves got excited. It is highly possible that we would buy the design from Youngman and use it for our own SUV. After all, it is our platform and our engine while Youngman has paid for its development.”
Syed Zainal said the SUV will be the size of the Nissan Qashqai/Dualis or Peugeot 3008, basically a soft roader to run around town rather than the jungle.
“We have identified that there is market for the this SUV in the Middle East,” he added.
