Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2013 (KLIMS13) kini semakin hampir! Acara yang dianjurkan oleh Persatuan Automotif Malaysia dan diuruskan oleh Interexpo (M) Sdn Bhd bakal membuka tirainya mulai 15 hingga 24 November 2013 bakal berlangsung di Pusat Dagangan Dunia (PWTC). Tiket untuk acara tersebut kini boleh didapati di laman web www.klims.com.my dan www.airasiaredtix.com. Pengunjung juga boleh mendapatkan tiket di kaunter tiket yang disediakan di PWTC.
MAA telah mengesahkan 5 kereta konsep bakal dipamerkan dan beberapa model baharu juga bakal dilancarkan. Antara pengeluar kereta yang mengambil bahagian kali ini ialah Citroen, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Lexus, Nissan, Perodua, Peugeot, Toyota, Subaru dan Volkswagen. Selain kereta masa hadapan, pengunjung juga boleh kembali ke zaman silam dengan melihat kereta keluaran 1928 dari Ford.
Selain itu beberapa produk berkaitan kereta seperti Groovy Shades, OSRAM (Malaysia)’s Night Breaker Unlimited, 3M Paint Defender Spray Film dan Ultra Racing turut dipamerkan. Kenderaan komersil turut mengambil bahagian dengan beberapa pelancaran model terbaru seperti HSJBC Corporation – trak JBC, HSZNA Vehicles – ZNA Success, Hong Seng Motor – trak DFSK dan Daihatsu Malaysia – Gran Max Panel Van dan Mobile Café Van.
2 pemenang bertuah bakal membawa pulang Toyota Prius 1.8L Luxury dan Honda CR-Z. Selain itu, Volkswagen menyumbangkan sebuah Volkswagen Beetle 2.0L TSI khas untuk pelanggan Maybank yang berkunjung ke KLIMS13. The politics at Proton belie the rosy looking sales numbers.
On the surface, Proton reported that quarter on quarter sales improved by 42 per cent boosted mainly by the Saga SV.
However, analysts said that robust sales numbers may not necessarily translate to healthy profits. “The margins are very thin,” one said.
While the profitability of one model is an important issue, the more strategic issue is the tussle over the CEO’s office of Proton Edar.
Reflecting this, Proton on Monday issued a letter appointing Hisham Othman as acting CEO of Proton Edar. Nothing strange about this, right? Well, it would be strange seeing as how Hisham’s CEO seat in Edar is still warm.
Proton Edar (or Edar as it is generally called) is the subsidiary that manages the branches and the franchised dealers that sell Proton cars.
Hisham, one of the high-performance managers in Proton, was promoted to sector head and redesignated as COO of Proton Commercial Sector which is basically domestic and export sales.
So why is he being redesignated as acting CEO of Edar when he was formerly the CEO?
The answer is external politics.
The tussle over Edar lends credence to the observations that there is a fall-out in the boardroom.
This was evidenced when Datuk Lukman Ibrahim resigned as Proton’s Deputy CEO in a moment of pique a few months ago on the eve of the launch of the Suprima S.
Then he was re-employed without any loss of seniority within a few weeks of his resignation which had been accepted and to which he had been given 24 hours notice is a clear signal that there are hidden hands over Proton.
In the corporate structure, the CEO of Edar reports to the deputy CEO of Proton. So when Lukman saw that there was no one doing the work of CEO of Edar, he took it upon himself to act as Edar’s CEO.
That’s when the DRB Group issued the letter on Friday Oct. 25, installing Hisham as CEO of Edar but on an “Acting” basis.
Observers note that the above happenings strengthen the credence that there are two bosses in Proton.
In the meantime, the need to grow the company’s export market is overshadowed by the internal and external politics.
To have two bosses tussling over the CEO office in Proton Edar is one case where two heads are not better than one.

The problem is Vios and Myvi owners are Cocky! They are still blinded that their car Still commands Good resale value and cannot accept the fact!
The fact is with every New Model introduction, old model resale value Sure dropped by up to 20%. With the exception of Civic FD & Camry 08′, more on that later!
Take a 2005 Vios owned by Ms.T for example! All 3 of my panel dealers offers RM28,000 as trade in! She so Stubborn and insist that her car worth RM35,000 Based on Motor trader & mudah pricing! But this is ASKING PRICE! Not transacted price!
She so cocky that she turned down a RM31,000 Cash buyer!
Case 2 is also Vios. It’s Vios 1.5 Trd 09′. This owner still thinks his car worth RM60,000! What a Joke! Dealer offer RM48k trade in only!
Toyota, Honda and Perodua owners, wake up! Your car NO LONGER Commands high resale Value! Especially so for New Civic & New Camry! It’s because they are ‘Moving Backwards’. Where Previous Generation is BETTER IN Every Way!

Antara yg byk skrg ialah myvi. Sbb diorg financial dh ok, so nk upgrade.
Anyhow, selagi elok, pakai je.

kalau nak pakai juga, kena pandai cari lubang..maksudnya kena tau bengkel, org yg tau sumber sparepart dan masalah2 kereta konti/korea. kalau dah biasa pakai proton, boleh terasa poket kalau pakai kereta konti ni. mcm ford focus pun tak ramai yg berani pakai 2ndhand, padahal built dia solid..huhu
