  • Designer mahal2 baik2..sampai kat top management potong sana potong sini..last2 jd buruk gak..alasan nak cut cost…padahal duit peruntukan masuk poket sndiri..

    • Lpstu bila sale x capai target mulalah buat promotion yg bkn2..smpai buat bodykit ala2 ahbeng pong ade..bila org komplen tentang kelemahan proton..ade pulak yg menegakkan benang yg basah..kata x sokongla..x patriotikla..da bpuluh tahun masih ada isu pun x sedar2..padahal diri sendiri xnak berubah…hmm entahlah

  • i hope proton dont create mistakes.
example, why in the first place preve throttle response is not as good as suprima, dont be to political , just to make suprima looks good, suprima’s throtle response now is what should have been on the preve, dont down grade product, just because for business strategy, makes thing good in the first place, give people the best at the first time,

its end up people are frustrated with preve. thats why is keep on popular.
my view proton DONT EMBARGO GOOD THINGS.
why did say that, suprima engine and cvt program smply kept on the shelf not to be used by preve, let the preve almost feel like a detune model,

youll be the best if u give people the best. this is an unhealthy, and political (business politics)

  • Kenapa suprima jarang2 dilihat atas jalan raya? Ramai orang tak minat? Bukan taste orang malaysia? Pernah tanya jurujual proton.. katanya x leh jual.. rugi buat pameran byr mahal.. orrg x beli pun.. sedangkan almari pun orang ramai pakai. Jadi saya lihat org ramai nak pakai sedan.. suprima org x nak jdkn kereta pertama sbb agaknya alasan x de bonet. Harga juga bukan faktor sbb dgn harga yg tinggi p2 masih org nak beli.. rasanya org kita masih x pentingkan safety yang ditawarkan… adakah penjual malas nak tayang suprima.. jarang sgt nampak kat pameran melainkan di duduk dlm bilik sejuk beraircond saja.. srdangkan brand lain sibuk bawa kekuar pertontonkan pada bakal2 pembeli..

    • one thing ,people dont TRUST proton. after a few experience, therefore at the same price bracket they will go for japs even though proton offer more.

but then proton sell the SV at some model. no question about trusted brand or not, they run to the showroom and place a book. some of these people who actually have estima at home.

the weak point of suprima is the look. if suprima do capture peoples’ imagination (beautifull) they can simply forget about a slightly smaller boot space

      • Bukan sebab rupa sangat. Sebab harga 80k tu memang bukan volume sales. Tengok Preve laku je skrg. Dekat 1600 unit sebulan.

Suprima S patut letak bawah 76k. Baru ada sales. Lagi satu persepsi orang tak boleh terima kereta proton mahal. kalau 76k ke bawah, ramai aku rasa budak2 muda bawak suprima s.

Semuanya sebab harga. Kalau proton, harga je orang tengok. Tak kesah la features letak macam2, safety bagai tapi kalau mahal orang tak beli. Orang tau kereta proton mesti murah.

Kalaulah kita dpt figure jualan bulanan seperti sebelum2 nie, baru ar bleh buat konklusi tepat berbanding sekadar buat tinjauan nampak x nampak kereta tu dijalanan. Bagaimana pula dgn jualan model hatchback dari jenama lain? Adakah mcm hot cake gaks?:)

          Cheers!

      • Mmm… pelik gak. Kalau people dont TRUST proton sekarang nie, kenapa penguasaan pasaran masih tinggi diblakang perodua? Sy rasa nie bukan pasal TRUST lagi, tapi proton kena beri tumpuan lebih juga kepada keperluan n kehendak pengguna domestik selain meningkatkan jualan global. Kalau kajian pasaran domestik memerlukan kereta2 compact terlaris seperti myvi, proton perlu serius dgn GSC. Kalau data kajian pasaran menyatakan model small MPV menjadi pilihan domestik seperti alza, proton kena ada model small mpv gak selain mid mpv exora. Sedan n segment2 lain utk pasaran global kena gak la beri perhatian. Even alza pun hanya di M’sia jer yg boom pun, kat jepun versi passo sette yg sy tau dh diberhentikan pengeluarannya sbb x dpt sambutan.

        Cheers!

  • Aku tengok ada jer…mungkin tempat ko dalam hutan tebal kot, sbb tu ko x pernah nampak, dan tempat aku ni, dah ramai pakai, baru2 ni aku pergi sabah, di sabah ramai ja org pakai, sedangkan sabah tu yg org pandang hutan je, kalau kat KL tu x yah kata lah, selalu ja nampak, kat lebuhraya utara/selatan selalu nampak, kadang2 ada nampak siap berlumba2 lagi, penah tngok suprima s vs peugeot, suprima s vs civic, suprima plat penang vs suprima plat perak laju jerr…satu lagi nak kabo kalau kita nak banding kereta tngok lah jenisnya, ni hatchback bro, kalau nak banding kenalah banding dengan jualan hatchback keluaran lain.. ermmm….aku rasa tempat ko jer kot, org pakai almari jeeee…nak bg pandangan kaji dulu, stakat tngok kat tempat semdiri dah buat andaian x payah lah broo..buat malu jerrr….

  • new CEO for Proton Datuk Abdul Harith Abdullah

    http://www.thestar.com.my/Business/Business-News/2014/03/05/Up-to-RM3bil-needed-to-develop-new-models-including-electric-car/

Published: Wednesday March 5, 2014 MYT 12:00:00 AM

PETALING JAYA: Proton Holdings Bhd is seeking up to RM3bil in development funding from the Government and Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).

However, the national car manufacturer – which has appointed Datuk Abdul Harith Abdullah as acting chief executive officer (CEO) to replace Datuk Lukman Ibrahim – has not been successful with its efforts thus far.

“The International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) and Petronas have both declined to assist in the funding,” said a source.

Now a unit of DRB-Hicom Bhd, Proton has been seeking fresh funding to execute its transformation plan that will see new models being developed, including an electric car.

The national carmaker had first approached Miti last year for funding, but its request was turned down. The reason was that it couldn’t fully justify why it needed such funding from the Government.

It later approached Petronas, but that attempt has been futile too.

Coincidentally, the futile attempts by Proton to secure funding come at a time when the position of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as Petronas adviser is a talking point.

On Dec 2 last year, Dr Mahathir had announced that he was quitting as adviser to Petronas. Subsequently, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak urged him to reconsider his decision.

Petronas president and CEO Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas has declined to answer queries on the position of Dr Mahathir in the national oil corporation.

“Ask the Prime Minister. It’s the Prime Minister who appointed him,” said Shamsul in reply to a question.

It has been reported that Proton has committed RM3.8bil in investments until 2017 and needs more capital to be competitive and achieve its turnaround plan. Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua), meanwhile, has committed RM1.8bil until 2015.

Industry executives are puzzled as to why Proton deputy CEO Lukman quit his job a few weeks ago – the second time he has resigned.

The first was in July last year, but he was persuaded to return after a few months.

It came as a surprise back then, but auto executives are not surprised he has finally decided to call it a day at Proton. Word is that Lukman was a tough boss and employees had difficulty adjusting to his demands.

Auto executives are not sure if Proton’s turnaround plan, which has an ambitious target of selling 350,000 cars by 2018, would have been carried out effectively, given the turmoil in management and the friction within the top management of Proton.

“The plan is good and Proton has a real chance of pulling it off,” said one observer after Lukman left the company.

Proton is set to launch its global small car by June this year, but its financial performance in the latest quarter has cast some doubt on its prospects to compete with the liberalisation of the industry set to intensify under the latest National Automotive Policy.

Sales slumped by nearly 30% between end-September and December 2013 from its second quarter, and likewise, its market share. Proton had a good second quarter following the launch of the Saga SV, but could not maintain the sales stamina.

“It’s a challenging landscape and it can only get tougher and not easier,” said one auto analyst, describing the task ahead for Proton.

While Proton has its share of competitive issues, rival Perodua seems to be holding steady.

Perodua’s market share stood at 30% last year, and with sales projections expected to be flat in 2014 in an industry slated to see only a meagre increase in total industry volume, Perodua should maintain its iron grip on market share.

Proton, on the other hand, said analysts, could find it tough to maintain its 2013 market share of 21%.

    • Memang malang nasib proton ni…dek kelemahan pengurusan dan jugak permainan politik yang mengkucar kacirkan lgi membuatkan proton makin jauh ketinggalan drpd syarikat automotif yg lain….dah la sentimen pembeli tempatan yg dh makin berkurangan..nmpk gyenye ade kemungkinan proton akan kembali jd pengeluar kenderaan rebadge je la
