Proton beli aset dan teknologi dari Petronas?

Menurut biz.thestar.com.my hari ini Proton bakal membeli aset dan teknologi dari Petronas Technologies Bhd. Difahamkan majlis menandatangani perjanjian pengambilalihan tersebut akan dibuat pada hari Selasa. Majlis tersebut bakal disaksikan oleh bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad yang juga merupakan penasihat bagi Proton dan Petronas.

* adakah berita ini berkaitan dengan pembelian enjin EO1? kita tunggu dan lihat 🙂

  • Kalau enjin E01 tu Petronas Technologies punya maknanya beli sekali la kan?

    Keluarkan Jenama baru tu bagus juga .. tapi make sure quality ditingkatkan betul2, sebab jenama Proton kat Malaysia terpalit dan susah nak buangkan masalah tu.. .. mungkin pembelian ni juga untuk jenama baru tersebut…


  • betul kwn2… sy baru sembang dgn satu budak baru ni yg pakai keta honda integra thn 98 rasanya… enjin keta dah mcm nak terkeluar bunyi tp bila sy ckp knp tak beli keta baru…? dia ckp tak cukup duit so sy ckp bli la preve. dia kata mslh power window tak tau camna lg.. terus sy bantai! utk makluman dah 7 thn gen2 sy,blum ada mslh lg pun. mentaliti org mesia….


  • untuk makluman, logo Proton baru tidak lagi berwarna biru hijau seperti di atas sebaliknya, seperti pada kereta iaitu hitam putih sahaja dgn efek 3D. Proton nak seragamkan imej korporat mereka.

  • dengor cite enjin E01 tu ade kompeni kereta dari negara China dah pakai dah dulu sebab enjin tu bagus..sape2 boleh kompomkan..


    • Memang betul. Petronas licensekan enjin ni. Maknanya kalau Proton dah beli, royalti dapat kat Proton la. Bagus la tu. Tahun 2006 cerita ni. Petronas bagi rights kat nanjing auto dan Brilliant Culture Group di China. Untuk pengetahuan, bukan proton tak nak guna enjin ni, cuma takde scale of economic sebab low volume. Company China tu 2 company JV keluarkan, dan boleh capai scale of economic.

  • Saya tak pernah pakai keta lain selain proton. Dah 3 keta – wira, gen2 & saga tank. Wira overall ok, tapi gen2 & saga tank terlalu byk masalah. Saya berabih wang nak support keta nasional, tapi ketidakpuasan yg saya dpt. Saya berhajat nak tukar keta skang tapi saya tak mau beli proton. Dah serik. Mungkin 10 tahun lagi saya beli, sbb mungkin proton dah improved masa tu.


    • samalah mentaliti yang disebut pada balasan atau komen diatas.

      penyakit rosak sana sini hanya zaman tengku mahaleel, ni sekarang 2012, sudah banyak perubahan dibuat, bukan dari segi imej sahaja.

      dah tak dengar lagi rosak teruk macam zaman waja campro. Malah exora ramai sambutan di negara gajah putih, proton rangkul piala APRC dan macam lagi.

      agak-agak baru keluar gua tuan ni.


      • jgn cakap mcm tu kat dia..dia cakap berdasarkan pengalaman dia…Memanglah proton sudah berubah sekarang, tapi jgn lupa masih ada lagi yg sedang berhutang untuk kereta waja, gen-2, saga tank dan sebagainya. Dan janganlah melenting kalau org masih bercakap2 ttg masalah kereta yg wujud tu kerana loan 9 tahun belum habis lagi. saudara mungkin bernasib baik kerana mampu membeli kereta proton generasi baru, tp masih ramai lagi yg sedang berhempas pulas menghabiskan hutang kereta proton generasi lama.


    • takpe bro…mungkin saudara antara beribu pemilik proton yg tidak bernasib baik. harap2 lepas ni saudara dapat membeli sebuah kereta yg baik untuk saudara. pilihan banyak, cuma kemampuan tu mungkin menjadi halangan utama.

      bapak saya pakai saga 1989 (jual), wira 1998 (pakai lg).
      mak saya gen2 2005 (pakai lg).
      antara 3 kete ni, wira yg selalu rosak pw & tachometer.
      saga ok, gen2 pw (soket longgar).

      bapak dh jual accord, corolla.
      civic AK je yg aku xkasi jual. (nk repair jd kete g pasar)

      sume kete pun ada problem.
      yg penting, repairable & maintanable.

        bapak pon pakai SAGA enjin Magma (1991 – 2011 excident total lost)
        skang pakai Inspira..mak saya pakai Preve…
        penah pakai KIA..spare part mahal nak mampus…arm shaft depan kerap rosak..
        saya cuma pakai mercedes…kadang2 hino..renault..volvo…kalo lambat kena tinggal…hahaha….


    • saya pakai gen2 2nd batch 2005 mungkin batch pertama o kedua tak pasti. so far alhamdulillah ok. power windows ada rosak. rack dia ( tak tau nama) depan 1 belakang 1. ganti sendiri. tu je. minyak ntah setakat ni kalau jalan jauh boleh la 6.9 ikut law, kekadang 7.1l/100km… bagi saya handling ok, dan ok..:)


  • tak kisah drb nk beli teknologi apa sekali pun utk proton, kerana akhirnya pengguna yang akan menilai produk akhir proton, kelebihannya, kualitinya, mutunya dan lain2

  • Petronas engine may power Proton cars

    KUALALUMPUR:Proton Holdings Bhd is scheduled to sign an asset and technology agreement with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) today, a move likely to pave the way for future Proton cars to be fitted with Petronas-developed engines.

    Market talk has it that the deal may include the purchase of intellectual property rights to the engine.

    This would mean giving DRB-Hicom Bhd, which owns Proton, full ownership of the engines.

    DRB-Hicom bought a 42.7 per cent stake It subsequently took the national carmaker private.

    There is talk that the models to be fitted with the Petronas-developed engines are the forthcoming Preve hatchback, Exora facelift and Perdana replacement model.

    The engine in question could be the powerful E01, developed by Petronas engineers and its development partners.

    The E01 was a result of Petronas’ involvement in Formula 1 when it became, in 1995, the main sponsor of the Sauber Petronas Team.

    The collaboration provided Petronas with the opportunity to engage in value-added automotive engineering technology research and development.

    One of the immediate fruits of the collaboration was the development of the E01 in 1998.

    The compact design of the E01 allows it to be fitted into various vehicle platforms, with customised intake and exhaust manifolds, to match vehicle requirement.

    Back in 2006, Proton signed a memorandum of intent (MoI) with Petronas to develop larger-capacity engines and an environmentally-friendly alternative fuel system.

    The MoI involved Proton and Petronas working together to explore the development of Petronas engines like the E01 for mass production and use in Proton cars.

    Proton had planned to use the E01 for its 1.8 to 2.2 litre vehicle range but the plan did not go through.

    KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) — Proton Holdings Bhd has acquired all engine technologies and knowledge developed by Petronas since 1997 through its technology commercialisation arm, Petronas Technology Ventures Sdn Bhd, for RM63 million.

    Proton Chairman Datuk Seri Khamil Jamil said the national car maker will have immediate ownership of a more powerful yet fuel efficient family of naturally aspirated and turbocharged 2.0L engines, as well as a 2.2L turbocharged version to complement its existing Campro engine line-up.

    “Proton and Petronas initiated the engine technology exploration in 1996.So, it is time now to take over from Petronas, since the company decided in 2010, to exit completely from all engine development activities.

    “Proton Holdings, through Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd, is taking over seven engine technologies with 117 technology patents from Petronas,” he told reporters after the Assets and Technologies Acquisition Agreement signing, here today.

    The exchange of documents was witnessed by the advisor to Petronas and Proton, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

    P/S:- Ada 7 teknologi enjin dan 117 paten teknologi Proton dapat daripada Petronas. Tapi Proton sekarang bukan entiti kerajaan lagi, adakah worth-it kerajaan melalui Petronas jual RM63juta sahaja teknologi ni semua yang mana milik Syed Mokhtar??     Khamil said Proton expects mass production of the new engines to begin in the third quarter of next year, with Proton cars given priority.

    “We have undertaken testing with the Proton Exora and Preve. Proton cars will be given the priority,” he added.

    He said after Proton establishes itself as a successful engine maker, the company is open to doing business with any other car company or original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

    The sports car brand under Proton, Lotus, is also being considered to be installed with the new engines from the Petronas technologies and expertise.

    “Proton now has the Campro engine, which we are continuing to improve on.

    “With this agreement, we have a new type of engine which is environmental friendly, while providing a lightweight solution,” Khamil said, adding that Proton customers would have better choices in future.

    Khamil said Proton will honour all commitments or deals done by Petronas prior to the acquisition.

    Petronas, through Petronas Technology Ventures, had previously entered into a deal with a China-based company to start the mass production of engines in the third quarter of 2013.

    Meanwhile, together with the technologies, Proton has also acquired a Petronas facility in Bangi and technological equipment from the national oil giant.

    “Two personnel from Petronas have joined us. Talks are being held with Petronas to secure the remaining manpower of 60,” he said. — Bernama

    1. Enjin ni bukan gantian Campro varian, tapi lebih kepada melengkapkan keluarga enjin Proton sedia ada dari sesaran 1.3, 1.6, 2.0, 2.2l.

    2. Enjin ini akan mula dikeluarkan suku ketiga tahun 2013.

    3. Ujian dahpun dilakukan oleh Proton ke atas model Preve dan Exora. Jadi nantikan by 2014 Exora dan Preve 2.0 dan 2.2.

    4. Lotus kini menggunakan enjin Toyota 1.8, maka Proton nak save cost dan keluar duit kocek kiri masuk kocek kanan dengan menggunakan enjin 2.0 dan 2.2 ni ke semua kereta Lotus. jadi Toyota tak dapat la jua enjin dia lagi lepas ni kat Lotus.

    5. Company Petronas Tech ni pernah JV dengan proton since 1996, tapi Petronas ambil keputusan tarik diri pada 2010. Jadi logik la proton ambil alih.
